Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 18, 2026
Duet is a private app for two people. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we never do with it.
What we collect
- Account: when you sign in with Apple we receive a user identifier and, if you share it, your name. We never see your password.
- Your content: the dates you plan, journal notes, photos you add to postcards, and rewards you create. This content is visible only to you and your paired partner.
- Shared links: if you share a post into Duet (for example an Instagram reel), we process the link and its public caption to suggest a date title and note.
- Push tokens: a device token so your partner's invites can reach you, if you allow notifications.
- Purchases: subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple. We use RevenueCat, a purchase-validation service, which receives your purchase history and an anonymous app user ID to confirm your Duet Pro subscription. It never receives your name, payment details, or content. One subscription unlocks both partners, so your couple's subscription status is stored with your couple's data.
Where it lives
Your data is stored with Supabase, our hosting provider, protected by row-level security so only your couple can read it. AI suggestions run through our own proxy; the AI provider receives only the public caption text, never your identity or your journal.
What we never do
- No ads, no trackers, no analytics SDKs.
- We never sell or share your data with third parties for marketing.
- Your postcards and journals are never public. There is no feed and no followers.
Deleting your data
Delete your account any time from the app (your space, then Delete account). This removes your account and its data from our servers. This cannot be undone.
